Québec Marine Day 2025

On October 16, 2002, the Government of Quebec officially recognized the 4th Tuesday of October each year as Québec Marine Day. The goal of this recognition was to “promote the participation of individuals, groups, and organizations in determining ways to meet their needs in the field of transportation.”

For this 25th edition, the St. Lawrence Economic Development Council (SODES), in partnership with Green Marine, the St. Lawrence Shipowners (SLS), and the Maritime Industry Sectoral Workforce Committee (CSMOIM), is organizing meetings between government decision-makers and stakeholders from Québec’s maritime industry.

Under the theme “The St. Lawrence: At the Heart of Our Economic and Trade Security,” these meetings aim to foster constructive dialogue between maritime sector players and public decision-makers, in order to highlight the priorities and challenges of this strategic industry.

The day will conclude with a networking cocktail, offering all participants the opportunity to continue discussions in a friendly and informal setting.

Meetings Between the Maritime Sector and Public Decision-Makers

In-person meetings will take place in delegations of six to eight people and will last approximately 45 minutes. They will be held throughout the day on October 28 in Québec City. However, we are currently unable to confirm the number of meetings each delegation will have, nor the exact location or schedule.
