Social acceptance and community relations

In Québec, social acceptability and relations with waterfront communities are of paramount importance to maritime project development. By taking local concerns into account, these projects seek to obtain solid support from waterfront populations and promote harmony between maritime activities and community interests. A transparent, collaborative approach is essential to ensure harmonious and sustainable cohabitation between the maritime industry and waterfront communities.

Advisory committee for development of a sustainable mobility policy

Set up by the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (Ministry of transport and sustainable mobility-MTMD) to oversee development of Québec’s Sustainable Mobility Policy and get an overview of the different issues, the advisory committee was mandated to assist the ministry throughout the process. Composed of 30 members from various backgrounds, the advisory committee issued recommendations on the measures proposed by the ministry at every policy development stage.
