Summary of responsibilities :
As Director of Corporate Affairs, you will be responsible for developing

Function description
Main duties and responsibilities :
Strategic component :
o Contribute to and actively participate in the strategic positioning of the
Sodes;
o Analyze, determine and plan the strategic actions required to
project progress, in line with Sodes priorities;
o Ensure that funds allocated to special projects are optimized;
o Monitor the progress of various projects and implement the best
practices with a view to continuous improvement;
o Coordinate the preparation of briefs, reports and other related documents
to the maritime sector handled by Sodes;
o Coordinate a variety of projects to raise awareness of the
Sodes’ social, economic and sustainable transport interests
maritime;
o Coordinate the writing of strategic content for the various
Sodes platforms;
o Collaborate in any process leading to the achievement of the objectives set by the
strategic planning.
Associations :
o See to the development and improvement of associative activities;
o Ensure the preparation and implementation of strategies and activities
annual recruitment campaigns;
o Develop new partnerships;
o Oversee and coordinate Sodes’ public events;
o Coordinate the drafting of press releases, newsletters, invitations and
communications dedicated to industry, members and partners of the
Sodes;
o Coordinate the management and updating of content on the Group’s website.

o Collaborate effectively as a team in the execution of mandates, both with
colleagues and Sodes partners.
Government relations :
o Participate in and contribute to the development of files in connection with
Sodes’ strategic objectives, among others, by sitting on various
committees and working groups;
o Maintain constant communications with the government apparatus
and provincial governments, associations and private-sector partners in connection with
marine industry;
o Represent Sodes with its institutional and private partners,
and the networks to which it belongs.

Competence profile
Professional skills :
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or business administration.

- Relevant experience in the maritime sector (an asset);
- Good knowledge of relevant IT tools, in particular the
