After a successful fourth edition that highlighted the importance of collaboration among maritime stakeholders, decision-makers, and partners around common themes and issues, the Quebec maritime sector conference will return for its fifth year on Tuesday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the Centre des congrès de Lévis.
Organized by the St.Lawrence Economic Development Council (SODES), in collaboration with Groupe Desgagnés, the official partner and presenter of the event, the conference brought together over 300 participants from the Quebec maritime ecosystem last year.
This year, in addition to celebrating the 40th anniversary of Sodes, the 5th edition of the conference will feature several presentations and panels dedicated to the following themes:
Presentations :
- Presentation of the 4th edition of the Quebec Maritime Transport State Report
- Presentation of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles in the maritime sector
- Presentation of the Quebec Maritime Industry Decarbonization Plan
Panels:
- Development of strategic markets and cargo movement
- Strengthening the Saint-Laurent positioning
- Digitalization of maritime activities and data sharing
- Use and valorization of data
- Relations with communities
- Development of new workforce skills and the next generation
