On March 3, SODES participated in the selection committee for the Mon fleuve inspirant drawing contest organized by the Fondation Monique-Fitz-Back. This edition invited young people aged 4 to 20 to draw their dream activity linked to the St. Lawrence River. The two contest categories: “Ships and trades” and “Leisure activities and nature” gave rise to 387 drawings. Increasingly successful with each year, the contest reaches out to some 1500 young people divided over 57 schools, 23 school boards and 13 Québec regions.
In May, at the awards ceremony, the 10 winners and 40 finalists will be recognized and have the honour of seeing their work displayed on a large mural that will be shown at the Aquarium du Québec, at Parc de l’Anse-Tibbits (Lévis) and on 11 Société des traversiers du Québec ferries.
