Quebec, June 18 2015 – St. Lawrence Economic Development Council (SODES) is proud to announce that Michel Tosini, Executive Vice-President of Federal Marine Terminals, was appointed as Chairman of the Board.
Michel Tosini is a Transportation and Logistics graduate and holds a certificate in management from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He spent 25 years with the CP Ships Group where he headed various operations such as their in-house trucking company, inland, and marine operations as well as import and export customer service. He joined Federal Marine Terminals Inc. in October 2006. Other than SODES, he is a board member of the Maritime Employers Association and the Laurentian Pilotage Authority (LPA). SODES is proud to count on his expertise, leadership and dynamism to carry out its priority issues.
Officers’ appointment
SODES Board of Directors has also appointed its officers. Mario Girard, President of Quebec Port Authority, was appointed Vice-President, Michael Fratianni, Chief Executive Director of Montreal Gateway Terminals Partnership, was appointed treasurer, and Jean Grégoire, Partner at Langlois Kronström Desjardins was appointed Secretary. SODES wishes to thank Pierre Préfontaine who has been Chairman of the Board during seven years for his continuous involvement.
