Logistec Corporation [TSX: LGT.A and LGT.B], a marine and environmental services provider, is pleased to announce that Madeleine Paquin, President and CEO of Logistec, was inducted into the International Maritime Hall of Fame at a gala event last week.
“I am truly honored to receive this prestigious award from the maritime community in the United States. The credit for this goes to my team of talented and dedicated leaders. Together, we strategize and we are always looking for innovative ways to find solutions for our growing customer base,” said Ms. Paquin. “Our success is a team effort and I will always have tremendous gratitude to the customers, partners, and colleagues that have helped Logistec achieve its success.”
The International Maritime Hall of Fame was founded in 1993 by the Maritime Association Port of New York and New Jersey to recognize maritime visionaries, who through excellence in their company, organization, or services, best exemplify the qualities of futuristic thinking that will guide the maritime industry in the 21st Century.
“Under Madeleine’s management, Logistec has moved away from being ‘just’ a stevedore and labour broker to include a full range of modern cargo handling services. They are now a multinational industrial service provider in both the marine sector and the environmental sector,” said Mr. Rudy Mack, President of Rudy Mack Associates, Inc. and member of Logistec’s Board of Directors. “I am very honoured to say that Madeleine has not only survived the stormy seas in our industry for a long time, but has succeeded.”
Logistec also congratulates this year’s other inductees: Harley V. Franco, Chairman and CEO, Harley Marine Services; Angeliki N. Frangou, Chairman and CEO, Navios Maritime Holdings Inc.; James C. McKenna, President and CEO, Pacific Maritime Association; and Jean-Jacques Ruest, Executive Vice-president and Chief Marketing Officer, CN (Canadian National Railway Company).
