SODES is pleased to welcome a new member, Davie. 

Davie

Founded in Lévis in 1825, Davie is Canada’s largest shipyard with the largest dry dock in the country. The yard employs over 1,000 people and cooperates with more than 800 Quebec suppliers.

Davie Shipbuilding has built, converted, repaired and upgraded almost every form of vessel, such as sophisticated ships with advanced dynamic positioning systems, icebreakers, naval ships and ferries.

Together with its sister company Federal Fleet Services based in Ottawa, Davie offers innovative solutions aimed at renewing the Canadian fleet.

Davie received the Lloyd’s Award for the Best North American Shipyard in 2015.

Marie-France Daoust is Director of Corporate Affairs at the Société de développement économique du Saint-Laurent (Sodes). With more than 15 years’ experience in entrepreneurship, 10 years in strategic management within the Quebec government and 5 years in public and government affairs, she stands out for her leadership and ability to bring people together. In her role, she is responsible for developing business growth strategy, forging strategic partnerships, and mobilizing maritime organizations around today’s major issues.
