The St. Lawrence Economic Development Council (SODES) awarded a $1500 scholarship to an Institut maritime du Québec (IMQ) student at the 2017-2018 awards gala on May 4.
The SODES scholarship recipient is Armand Raoul Nkouamou Nanda, a Marine Mechanical Engineering Techniques student.
As part of its marine industry promotional campaign, since 2016, SODES has awarded two $1500 scholarships. One is granted to a graduate or postgraduate student in a field related to the maritime industry, as well as to a Institut maritime du Québec student whose academic performance has been especially outstanding.
