The St. Lawrence Economic Development Council (SODES) and Innovation maritime are pleased to announce that the Maritime Information System (MIS) implementation phase will be completed this December. Soon, users will be able to access a wide range of marine industry-related data via a web portal. Although SODES and Innovation maritime received government funding to develop this new system, as of January 2018, we will be relying on future users’ commitments to ensure its long-term sustainability.
As foreseen when the project was launched, we are proposing a subscription system that will help generate the revenues needed to keep the MIS up and running. We have deliberately chosen to adopt a “low-cost” subscription approach to encourage a maximum number of subscribers.
Why subscribe?
- To access quality, up-to-the-minute marine industry-related data;
- To monitor the marine industry’s activities and overall performance;
- To facilitate decision-making related to activity development;
- To access various analyses on subjects of interest to marine-sector stakeholders.
