Coastal hazards forum

The Interregional Forum on Coastal Risks is part of the Climate of Change project, which aims to encourage the reduction of GHGs and make communities more resilient in the face of climate change. This project is a pan-Quebec initiative led by the Regroupement national des Conseils régionaux de l’environnement du Québec (RNCREQ) and, in each region, by the 17 CREs, funded by the Government of Canada.

The regional environmental councils (RECs) of Bas-Saint-Laurent, Chaudière-Appalaches, Capitale-Nationale, Côte-Nord, Gaspésie and Îles-de-la-Madeleine, and the Regroupement national des CRE du Québec (RNCREQ) are delighted to announce the first-ever interregional forum on coastal risks. The event, to be held on May 30 and 31, 2024 in Rivière-du-Loup, will bring together professionals and decision-makers from five administrative regions. Its aim will be to create a forum for inter-regional exchange on adaptation to coastal risks, with an approach that puts the human aspect at the heart of discussions.
