Edition 2024

After a successful third edition that demonstrated the importance of maritime players, decision-makers and partners rallying around common themes and issues, the Assises québécoises du secteur maritime will be held for a fourth year. Tuesday, May 14 and Wednesday, May 15 at Terminal 30 of the Port of Québec, in collaboration with Groupe Desgagnés, official partner and presenter of the event.

Organized by the St.Lawrence Economic Development Council (Sodes), last year’s Assises brought together over 200 players in the Quebec maritime ecosystem.

This year’s 4th Assises will feature a number of presentations and workshops on the following themes:

Presentations :

State presentation on marine transportation 2023, including coverage of the shipbuilding sector and a focus on the Great Lakes region;
Presentation of the results of the project to promote the values of equity, diversity and inclusion within the maritime industry, initiated by the Institut maritime du Québec;
Presentation of the first report resulting from the development of a Decarbonization Plan for the maritime industry, initiated by Sodes;
Presentation of the Business Analysis of data sharing initiatives in the maritime and other sectors, resulting from the concerted approach to data sharing by organizations in the maritime sector initiated by the Government of Quebec and Sodes;

Workshops :

Strengthening the strategic positioning of the St. Lawrence corridor;
Financing maritime and logistics infrastructures;
Value chain development – Shipyards;
Social acceptability and community relations;
Development of an available workforce and a competent next generation.
